The 2012 Canadian Trackside Guide will be available in late February but you can order it now. The Guide contains approximately 680 pages with all the information you have come to expect from the publication: motive power, industrial locomotives, preserved equipment, work equipment, radio frequencies, subdivisions and more. It will be current to the end of December 2011.

"Montreal Streetcars - Volume 4: 'Work and Service Equipment'" is our fourth book on Montreal Streetcars as the latest in our Traction Heritage Series. Again, author Tom Grumley has put together a well-researched book, this time on the non-revenue equipment of the street railways in Montreal. Levis Tramways Company
"Levis Tramways Company" is author Tom Grumley's latest account of one of smaller of the many streetcar systems in Canada. The book traces the history of the streetcar system on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River across from Quebec City. From it's start in 1902 as the Levis Electric Railway, to the Levis County Railway, to it's final name of Levis Tramways Company in 1916, this book covers the entire history. It is in the same format as previous ones in the Traction Series and have 36 pages with colourized photos on the front and back covers.

At last! Duncan du Fresne's long awaited book, "When Steam and Steel Get in Your Blood - Recollections of a CPR Locomotive Fireman", is here. This book is about the work of a real honest to goodness, dedicated railway worker - a roundhouse hostler. Learn how he handled a potpourri of C.P. steam locomotives dating from 1904 to 1948, and ALCO S2 diesels. Details of the work, the workers, the foremen, the facilities, the winter weather, and the working conditions are all explained. "Written by a C.P. engineman, it's a railway book like no other."
