For the first three years of my life, my parents owned a house that backed onto the CN mainline between the Union and Danforth Stations in Toronto. My mother said that as soon as I could walk, I spent my time looking through the fence at the passing trains. My father was a telegrapher with CN and I had many trips on his passes.
Trains have been my passion for years. When my granddaughter was eight, she called me a "train-aholic".
For most of my working life, I held various positions within Revenue Canada (now CRA) and was made a life member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in 2014. I am now pleased to be the Treasurer of the Society.
